Civil War Sites

The Home of the American Civil War is my favorite Civil War site.  It has every link you will need listed at http://www.civilwarhome.com/cwsites.htm

The Indiana State Library has an outstanding Civil War Exhibit with pictures of Indiana Soldiers: http://www.statelib.lib.in.us/www/indiana/civilwarex/civilwarindex.htm

Indiana Civil War Soldiers Regimental Histories, individual histories

Civil War Indiana Excellent site with histories and photographs

Civil War Soldier & Sailors Unbelievable database, searchable by name, unit, state.

Albert Underwood The diary of Albert Underwood, member of the 9th Indiana Light Artillery.  I made all of my boys read this.  It is simply a daily diary written by a distant relative.  It is a heart-wrenching, boring description of each day as this young man travels the country with his unit.  Albert Underwood died on the Sultana.

The Valley of the Shadow This is not an Indiana site, but an outstanding one with information about the Civil War.

Civil War clip art is available at: http://www.civilwarclipart.com/Clipartgallery/clipart.htm
