Palmer

The name Palmer in Ireland is usually of immigrant origin, being ultimately derived from the Norman name 'le paumer'. It has existed in Ireland since the thirteenth century. The native Gaelic O'Maolfhogmhair Sept of County Mayo sometimes anglicized their name to Palmer as well as the more usual Milford.

Any other versions of the name Palmer and it's origins are welcome. Send them to me and I will post them here.
