Remarks on Cemetery: Copied August 19, 1913 by J. W. Poucher, MD and Miss Grace L. Jones. The ""First Baptist Church of Dover"" organized in 1757, built the ""Red Meeting House"" at South Dover in 1758. This burial ground lies a little to the west of the site of the meeting house and was probably begun by the meeting house congregation either as a churchyard or a community ground. The first pastor of this church, Samuel Waldo, is buried in this ground.
