Moses Allis, son of Zebediah Allis and Mary Baker , was born February 13,1756 in Hunting Hills, Hampshire Co., Ma. He married Bathsheba . He died March 30, 1842 in Laport, Lorain Co., Oh. Bathsheba was born abt. 1764. She died March 19, 1810.

NY according to V12#1 June 1985 Western NY Genealogical Society. Birthplace listed as Montague, Franlklin Co., Ma according to 1993 IGI A Moses Ellis is listed moving from Tioga Co. in Military Records of NY State pg 389 in 1797. He was a Lieutenant vice Luther Hunt According to Soldiers
of the American Revolution Buried in Ohio he was pensioned for Service as Sgt. Mass Continental Line (Lorain Co.) 1834. Br. 1754, Mass. Married Anna ______, Died 1842, Laporte, Oh Natl. No. 78258, Vol 79, D.A.R. Lin. At 62 applied for Rev War
pension May 2,1818 in Coventry, Chen Cty:(see Recp35). He enlisted 15 Jan 1777 for 3 yr. with Ephraim Clevelands Co as 1st sgt 7th Co.8th Mass Reg (See DAR Patriot Index RecBkPg71) under Col Michael Jackson until dicharge 13 Dec 1779 at West P
oint, NY. At time of application he had a wife 62 and sick daughter 22(no names given) Rcd $8/mo. According to testimony of neighbors he lived in Coventry for at least 17 yr. as of Feb 1819. He moved to Carlisle Ohio with son William and reapplied for pension there Jul 16 1834. According to Gazeteer of NY State by JH French he was an early settler of Coventry NY (RecBkPg64) According to "Genl Indx Rev War Svc Recs" he served in Porters Reg as Pvt & Sgt According to a DSGR v11 entry was an officer for Jerico, NY as early as 1794. Jerico later became Oxford & Bainbridge, NY.(see LR-C28) Was inspector for election in Coventry (LR-C110). In 1806 was Assessor for town of Coventry (LR-C111). Was shoemaker settled in 1795 3 mile south of Conventry, NY (LR-C112)
