Nathaniel Morton\Lydia Cooper
Nathaniel Morton, son of George Morton and Julianna Carpenter , was born 1616 in Leyden, Holland. He married Lydia Cooper December 25, 1635 in Plymouth, Ma. He died June 28, 1685. Lydia Cooper was born 1615. She died September 23, 1673 in Plymouth, Ma.

In 1635 he became Bradford's secretary. Nathaniel was Clerk of the colony for nearly 40 years (1647-79) and author of " New England's Memoriall" 1669, secretary of the Pilgrim Church, Copying many of Bradford's "Of Plimoth Plantations" into church records. Died one of the wealthiest men of colony.
