DIED at his home in the town of Portland on Mon. eve., July 29, 1901, in his 83rd year after a short illness, of old age:
John Mulvaney was born in the County of Meath, Ireland, and came to America in 1848. He first located in the state of New York and was united in marriage on January 1, 1854 to Miss Julia Carey of Auburn, NY. In the fall of the same year they removed to Wisconsin and located upon a farm in the town of Elba, Dodge Co., where they resided until 1863 when he purchased the farm in the town of Portland upon which he has since resided and where he died.
He is survived by the widow and two daughters Mrs. M. Quinn of Escanaba, Mich., Mrs. Samuel Brady of Amiret, Minn., John Mulvaney of Campbell, Cal., Christopher and Thomas Mulvaney of Amiret, Minn., William Mulvaney of Escanaba, Mich., and Nicholas who resides on the farm in Portland. Mr. Mulvaney was a man of wide acquaintance in the vicinity and was universally liked by all.
