Birth*c. 1814 on Tyree, ARL, SCT, this date being derived from her dth cert, but the 1851 census implies c 1816, which latter would make her 17 when she married Donald. 1841 also implies 1816, but those ages were rounded, so that is inconclusive evidence2,3,4
Marriage*5 Aug 1833 ?Tyree, ARL, SCT, Donald of Kenovay, Racheal of Balevulin. Using just the OPR index on Scotland's People I couldn't confirm this marriage (I was trying to determine whether Rachael was a Rebecca or vice versa) Yes there was an 1833 marriage of a Donald McLean to someone McKinnon, but it wasn't Tiree, nor in Jul thru Sep and when reversing the search to Reb* or Rach* McKinnon to someone McLean nothing was found - but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist, and an LDS member has submitted it as Donald to Rachel, Groom=Donald McLean5,6,7
Death*26 Apr 1872 at Cornaig-veg, Tyree, ARL, SCT, cert. shows that Rachel was the widow of Donald McLean, crofter, and died at 9am of chronic bronchitis and dropsy, aged 57, dtr of John McKinnon, crofter and Catherine m.s.
