Services were held Tuesday, February 20th at the Rhoad Funeral Chapel in Sargent with Rev. Steven FLADER officiating. Burial was in the Taylor, NE. Cemetery. Mrs. Eric TROXEL, daughter of the deceased sang and the organist was Mrs. Linda SIEFRIED.

Dixie Lee was born Dec. 12, 1938 at Sargent to Jay & Dixie Geiser-ROTH. She attended school in Sargent and graduated as Valedictorian of her class in 1956.

She attended te University of Nebraska for one year. Then married Edwin TROXEL of Taylor, NE. on Mar. 28, 1958 in Lincoln, NE. where she attended the Methodist Church while in college. They made their home between Taylor and Sargent. To this union they had two children, one son and one daughter.

Dixie Lee and her mother were baptized in the Sargent Methodist Church when she was 17 months old. She re-affirmed her faith in the same church at the age of 12. Then she and about 15 her age were in Junior Choir and her mother helped as choir mother. She was also in 4-H for several years with her mother helping in that. She loved doing and giving gifts to people which made her happy.

She always wanted to be a grandmother and found out she was soon to be one, by her son and wife before her death.

Dixie Lee's husband, Edwin TROXEL passed away at 46 and Dixie Lee raised her children.

Her survivors are son and daughter-in-law, daughter, her mother Dixie ROTH of Sargent and one sister. Also many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews.
