The above couple(s) are conjecture...However, a recent Family Tree.com DURHAM DNA test result links a grandson of Francis Marion DURHAM b. 01 Oct 1882 to DAVID MILTON DURHAM b. 1768 Albemarle Co. Virginia, hence my relationship to D.M.D. below, as Frank was one of my paternal grandmother, MINERVA "MINNIE" ANN DURHAM's brothers:
Will of Alexander DURHAM: WILL Property Owned: N1/2 SW1/4 of Section 5, N1/2 SE1/4 of Section 6: Both in TWP 18 RANGE 17 Custer Co. NE.

The following is from Margaret Louise TVRDIK_WHITE, Daughter of Anton & Ruth Berneda BARTHOLOMEW_TVRDIK, granddaughter of Charles & Mary Eliza DURHAM_BARTHOLOMEW: (Everything between brackets: (¹) is from Paul A. Roth, creator of this site.)
The father of our ancestor, John James DURHAM was Constantine DURHAM and his father may have been Coleman DURHAM who d. intestate 06-20-1849. He is buried at Liberty Cemetery, Cairo, MO. The cemetery is 2 mi. north on hway 63 and 2 mi. east of Cairo. (Coleman, J.J.'s oldest brother was b. 1794 Albemarle Co. VA. Constantine's father was David Milton DURHAM, his grandfather was Thomas DURHAM¹) Constantine was b. 12-22-1811 (Casey Co. KY.¹) - d. 14 Jun 1880 - m. (One source says 1 Jun 1834, another says April 1834¹) : Berlinda Mahala WOODRUFF b. 25 Jun 1813 VA. - d. 17 Aug 1872. Both are buried at the Union Cemetery, Cairo, MO. Louisa Maria SMITH b. 14 Mar 1857 - d. 6 Feb 1943 Comstock, Custer Co. NE. (Buried in the Douglas Grove Cemetery: D.G.C. near Comstock¹) Children: b. Randolph Co. MO.:
The family picture was taken in Arcadia, NE. - does it appear to you that Uncle Roy must be about 2? From that I would guess that they must have gone back to MO. in abt. 1893 and the father was killed on 3_Jul_1894. Louisa and her family came back to NE. in the fall of 1894. Her daughter, Mary had married Charles BARTHOLEMEW in Feb. 1894 and they were living at Westcot at that time. We can only guess that Louisa came back to be near her daughter who lost her first child in Nov. 1894.(Photo coming soon)
