General Notes: Curtis Parrott was born April 9,1934 in Gibson, North Carolina, the son of the late Webster and Rannie Parrott. He entered into his eternal life to be with God on April 21,2013 at the blessed age of 79. He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Pearl Weatherspoon and Louis Brown.

Curt as known to many graduated from Carver High School in Laurel Hill,North Carolina. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1953, serving his country and received an honorable discharge. Curt attended Virginia Union majoring in Psychology and Sociology. As a young man, he was employed by MCV for two years as an orderly. He later began his career as a Richmond City Police Officer in 1961 and became a Juvenile Detective for many years.

Curt's demonstrated the true love of God to his family, friends and fellowman and did not mind extending a helping hand to anyone with a smile. He enjoyed going fishing,cooking,hanging out with his friends and being the life of the party. Curt was a member of Club 533 and the Friendship Committee at Carter Woods.

He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory, daughter, Terry Parrott; beloved granddaughter, Kimora Simpson; caring sister, Kathleen Nichols; devoted cousin, Haywood Allmon: and a host of other relatives and friends.
