Halifax Co., Virginia, was split off Lunenburg Co. in 1752. It is here where Parrotts from 3 unrelated families-- that descended from Richard Perrot of Middlesex Co., VA; that descended from Lawrence Parrott of Gloucester Co., VA; and that of Nathaniel Parrott of Henrico Co., VA, crossed paths with each other, resulting in a tangled public record.
