Shimea AMBROSE was born before 1755 in Chowan County, North Carolina.^39,40 He appeared in the census in 1786 in Tyrrell County, North Carolina.⁴¹ He appeared in the census in 1790 in Edington District, Tyrrell County, North Carolina.⁴² Shimea appeared in the census in 1800 in Washington County, North Carolina.⁴³ He died between 1800 and 1810 at the age of 45.
