Moses Benjamin AMBROSE was born about 1839 in Pulaski County, Kentucky.20,21 He served in the military in 1865 in the Civil War.98 Enlisted as a Private on 15 February 1865 in Company K, 146th Indiana Infantry. Mustered out on 31 August 1865 in Baltimore, Maryland. He applied for a pension for his service 21 May 1876, #214825. His minor child, W. Ambrose, applied for a pension 19 Sep 1911, from Missouri, #729033. He appeared in the census in 1870 in Pike County, Indiana.99 Pleasantville, Monroe Twp., Enumerated 2 Aug 1870, 211/211

Moses died about 1900 at the age of 61. Pension application for young child filed Sep 1900. Moses may have had a daughter, Sarah B. (b 1868). It appears she would be by a second wife.
