Joseph served in the military in the Civil War. Enlisted 10 Sep 1862, Gallatin County, Kentucky, Company F, 8th Kentucky Cavalry (Confederate). Joseph Scrivener AMBROSE and Nannie M. CONLY were married on 25 February 1866 in Gallatin County, Kentucky.121 Nannie M. CONLY121 was born about 1845 in Kentucky.119 She died on 15 December 1887 at the age of 42 in Greene County, Missouri.122 She was buried in Maple Park Cemetery.122 Joseph Scrivener AMBROSE-11729 and Nannie M.
