Jacob AMBROSE13,14 was born between 1727 and 1730 in Germany.8 He immigrated on 11 October 1732 to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, British America.8 He was naturalized in April 1749 in Frederick County, Maryland.15 Jacob owned 367 acre tract known as Gap on 6 September 1763 in Frederick County, Maryland, British America.16 He owned 567 acre tract known as Good Neighbor on 9 May 1776 in Frederick County, Maryland, British America.17 He took the Fidelity Oath in 1778 in Frederick County, Maryland.18,19 Jacob died on 27 February 1779 at the age of 52 in Thurmont, Frederick County, Maryland.20,21 He was buried in Apple's Lutheran & Reformed Church, Thurmont, Maryland. He served in the military in the Revolutionary War. Jacob AMBROSE and Maria Catharina KAEMPE were married before 1753. Maria Catharina KAEMPE, daughter of Johann Conrad KAEMPE and Anna Maria FEUERBACH, was born on 15 December 1731 in Untergimpern, Heidelberg, Baden, Germany.2,22 She was christened on 16 December 1731 in Helmstadt, Baden Germany.22 She signed a will on 31 May 1800 in Frederick County, Maryland.23 Maria appeared in the census in 1800 in Frederick County, Maryland.2 She died on 18 August 1807 at the age of 75 in Frederick County, Maryland.2 She was buried in Apple's Lutheran & Reformed Church, Thurmont, Maryland.
