Probate Records for the Estate
of Richard H. Blackwell

The following items are from a filmed copy of an old book of Steelville, Crawford County, Missouri 65565, court items pertaining to the probate of the estate of Richard Blackwell, husband of Nancy McKee Blackwell and father of Elvira Blackwell McKee. His name has been written as Richard H. in some records but is Richard C. in one item in these records.

I tried to spell the words as written, according to the customs of the day. . .1840. . . they are much different today, but pronounce them as they are spelled and they will make sense! Richard Blackwell apparently died in December of 1839 or January 1840. Typed June, 1990 by Patricia McKee Bauer, great great granddaughter of Richard Blackwell. I have made each name bold to make it easier to spot them.
