BRANSTETTER 

Ruth "Miss Ruth" Branstetter, 80, Barnett, died Aug. 21, 2000, at her home.

She was born Dec. 23, 1919, in Morgan County, a daughter of Roy and Anna Croff Kunzler. She was married April 21, 1942, in Tuscumbia, to Rufus Branstetter, who survives at the home.

She worked as a teacher in Morgan County rural schools for 20 years, and in the Eldon R-1 School District for 21 years. She was a member of the Missouri State Teachers Association and the Christian Church.

Other survivors include: two sons, Bert Branstetter and Joe R. Branstetter, both of Barnett; four brothers, Vernon Kunzler and Wyman Kunzler, both of Columbia, Albert Kunzler, Eldon, and Donald Kunzler, Jefferson City; one sister, Darlene Hartman, Jefferson City; and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Rekus Funeral Home, Eldon. John Culver will officiate. Burial will be in Big Rock Cemetery, near Versailles.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday.
