Robert John Dean

Robert John Dean, 51, Sunrise Beach, died April 30, 2001, at Lake Regional Health Systems, Osage Beach.

He was born July 10, 1949, in Lackawanna, N.Y., a son of John W. and Patricia Kern Dean. His mother survives in Tampa, Fla. He was married Dec. 18, 1998, to Charlotte Stickney Smith, who survives at the home.

An Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, he was a member of the American Legion post 229, Bagnell Dam, and the Missouri Ozark Mussel Loaders. He was a truck driver.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Tami Shewmaker, Versailles, and Carrie Dean, Linn Creek; two stepsons, Aaron Stickney, Lake Ozark, and Jason Stickney, Barnett; one stepdaughter, Lisa Hutchison, Camdenton; two brothers, David Dean and John Dean Jr., both of Tampa; one sister, Debbie Fite, Hamburg, N.Y.; and five grandchildren.

Graveside services with military honors will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Big Rock Cemetery, near Barnett. The Rev. Tracy A. Carroll will officiate.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Laurie.
