Willard Madole, 94, Greenfield, died May 13, 1999, at Cedar County Memorial Hospital, El Dorado Springs.Willard Madole He was born Sept. 23, 1904, near Barnett, a son of Josiah B. and Josephine Rastorfer Madole. He was married to Myrtle B. Witt, who preceded him in death. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service, in Kansas City, for more than 30 years, retiring in 1969. He was a member of Northeastern Beekeepers Association and Midwestern Beekeeper's Association and was awarded beekeeper of the year by both associations. He was a Baptist. Survivors include: two stepsons, Bill Witt, Greenfield, and Elmer Witt, Bates City; two stepdaughters, Wanda Courtney, Stockton, and Darlene Leahey, Leavenworth, Kan.; 10 step grandchildren, 11 step great-grandchildren and two step great-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. Bob McFarland will officiate. Burial will be in Big Rock Cemetery, near Barnett. Visitation will be from noon-1 p.m. Monday. |
