He was born Oct. 12, 1952, in Tuscumbia, a daughter of Joseph and Louise Jakob Runyan.

He was a production worker and bartender in Kansas City and at Tan-Tar-A Resort. A 1970 graduate of Eldon High School, he lived in the Lake of the Ozarks area for eight years.

Survivors include: one daughter, Chasity Horton, Camdenton; one son, Chad Hoyer, Camdenton; and two brothers, Sonny Runyan and Mark Runyan, both of Eldon.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Big Rock Cemetery. The Rev. James J. O'Sullivan will officiate.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today, Thursday, July 31, 2001 at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon.
