Rockdale cemetery is located just off Hiway F, in Camden county, Missouri, near Hurricane Deck. North from Camdenton on Hiway 5, then right on Hiway F, take the first gravel road to the right and it leads directly to the cemetery.
The church was built in 1914 and has served the community both as a church and as a school.
A large portion of the cemetery is made up of graves moved from other cemeteries when Bagnell Dam was built. Most of these graves are either unmarked or marked with small metal markers with numbers on them.
Some of the pictures on these pages were taken in the summers of 1999 and 2000. On July 21, 2001, Debbie Tryon and myself made a trip to the cemetery and attempted to photograph and obtain stone information that I had missed in my other trips there. I'd like to thank Debbie for accompanying me on this trip and for all the notes she took.
