MARRIAGE ANNOUNCEMENT, newspaper, probably from Vashon:

Given in marriage by her father, Mr. Arthur P. Furbush, of Seattle, Miss Margaret Elizabeth Furbush was united in marriage to Harry Andrew Engel at a pretty wedding in the Vashon Methodist Church Saturday evening. The service was read by Reverend E. M. Hill.

Mrs. Hill accompanied Mrs. Alta Allison on the piano, and played the Mendelssohn Wedding March. Mrs. Allison, a friend of the bride's from childhood, sang "I Love You Truly."

The bridal party presented a lovely picture with the bride and her attendants wearing floor length dresses all of matching shades of blue. Mrs. Dorothy Hardy was matron of honor, while Miss Mary Louise Furbush was her sister's bridesmaid. The bride's bouquet was tiny pink roses and maidenshair ferns. Gordon Furbush was best man.

At the conclusion of the ceremony a reception was held in the church parlors. Mrs. R. P. Huston and her daughter, Elsie, long time friends of the Furbush family, served.

Guests from off the Island present for the occasion were Mrs. Eva Furbush, Mrs. Engel's grandmother, Mrs A. W. Holmes, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lawsen and daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Hardy and infant son, all of Seattle, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Coberly of Tacoma.

Margaret's wedding was the second in the family in a month, the wedding of her brother, Gordon, to Miss Lucy M. Bacon having taken place October 26 in the Vashon Methodist Church, Rev. Hill performing the ceremony.

The Furbush family is well-known, all of the children having grown up here. Living with their mother, Flora Furbush at Ellisport, they attended first the Center School, then the high school. They have a wide circle of friends who are interested in them as they establish new homes of their own.

Mr. and Mrs. Engel will live here for a short time but plan to make their home later in Seattle.
