Graduated from Yale with B.A. and M.A. degrees, then from a theological seminary in Boston. For a while he was the minister of a Congregational church in Massachusetts, but became affiliated with a brokerage firm in Portland ME when he married. Andrew's wife Marion and two of their children drowned in seperate incidents. [ref 8]
