Benjamin (Goold), b. �1693, br. of Joseph, s. of John and Mary (Crosman) Gold of Taunton, came to Kit. by 1714, bot there 1715 and m. 9 Feb. 1716 Rebecca Furbush. A Friend. His will 1769 - 1781; hers 1781 - 1782. ch: Benjamin, John, Sarah, Samuel, James, Nathaniel, Daniel, Mary. [ref 22]

Benjamin Goold, brother to Joseph and son of John Gold of Taunton, was born there about 1693. He came to Kittery about 1713. He bought a house lot in 1715 in Eliot, on the Berwick road a few rods from the junction with the road to Dover, near Howard B. Furbish's house. He bought a small farm at what is known as "Goold's Corner" in 1719, and here four generations of his descendants lived about 178 years. He married, 9 Feb. 1716, Rebecca, dau. of Daniel and Dorothy (Pray) Furbish. She was born 19 April 1694 and died in 1782. He died in 1781, aged about 88. He belonged to the Society of Friends. Children: Benjamin, John, Sarah, Samuel, James, Nathaniel. [ref 33:463]
