Joseph (Goold), br. of Benjamin, came to Kit. ab. 1702 ag. �22, and m. in 1705 Bethia Furbush. In 1709 he bot TREWORGYE's or Thompson's Point in N. part of Eliot. D. 10 May 1762, ag. �82. Ch: Mary, Bethia, William, Samuel, Joseph, Hannah. A sis. Elizabeth, said to have been in Kit. early, and unmar. 1717, is not identified. [ref 22]

Joseph Gould, son of John Gould, came to Kittery, Maine, when he was twenty-two years old. He bought in 1709 land at Treworgy's Point, in the north part of Eliot, and he died there May, 1762, aged eighty-two years. He married, at Kittery, in 1705. Bethiah Furbish, daughter of William Furbish. Children: Mary, Bethia, William, Samuel, Joseph; Hannah, Sarah. [ref 29:1-204]

Joseph Gold came about 1702, aged about twenty-two. He married about 1705 Bethiah, dau. of William Furbish, and bought in 1709 Treworgy's or Thompson's Point, in the northern part of Eliot. The farm is now owned by John Raitt. Joseph Gold changed the spelling of his name to Goold, following the example of relatives at Taunton. He died 10 May 1762, aged about 82. Children were: Mary, Bethia, William, Samuel [ref 33:461]
