MOSES Hodgdon, b. in Dover, N.H., Apr. 7, 1702; m. in Kittery, Me., July 4, 1723, Sarah, dau. of Thomas and Sarah (Furbish) Thompson, b. in Kittery, Sept. 22, 1702. He and his wife were members of the First Church in South Berwick which was organized 1702. They were dismissed from that church and with others, formed the "Blackberry Hill" church in 1755; he was elected an Elder shortly after the church was organized and held the office until his death Feb. 4, 1782, she d. in Berwick, Aug. 2, 1781. Children: Joshua, Moses, Israel, Thomas, Sarah, Moses. [ref 32:44]
