| Notes for Magnus Alfred LIVESLEY | ||||||||||
| - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - We know very little about this man. He was three when his father started the hop ranch in Lavalle and seventeen when his parents moved to Seattle. The 1889 Seattle directory lists him as "laborer," in 1890 a "teamster" living with his father. He may have lived some time in Yakima, he died there. He was not named on his father's probate of 1920. He is buried in the Livesley plot at Lake View Cemetery, Seattle. Magnus Livesley is referred to as the black sheep. Today he would be a hippie. Esther would 'know' when Magnus came to Seattle. She would say "Magnus is in town," don her had, get on the bus and go to skid road [Pioneer Square], bring him home, clean him up and feed him. He would stay awhile and then disappear. This happened quite often.
