Item to one Dwelling house and barn and orchard together with other lands of the homestead in all about 17 acres 250 pounds. Item to about 18 acres of salt marsh and flats upon an Island known by the name Chase's Island 95 pounds. Joseph Chase, Daniel Merrill,. Peter Ordway, Robert Savory, Esther Merrill, Jemima Ordway, Rebecca Savory, Esther Chase as guardian for Elizabeth Robinson son and sons-in-law and Daughters of Aquila Chase, late of Newbury dec'd, who dyed intestate have made this a full and final settlement of ye estate of our father (and also of ye estate of our brother Benjamin Chase, late of Newbury dec'd who died intestate) among ourselves. Joseph Chase to have for himself and for his sisters Ann Foulsham, Priscilla Hills and Hannah Hoit whose rights in the estate were purchased about 15 acres of salt marsh lying in Plumb Island River known by the name Chase his Island which is the whole of the Island except 3 acres on the northeasterly end of sd. Island and 2 acres of meadow lying in a place known by the name Rasons Meadow joying to Artichoake River and 14 acres of pasture lying in Planting Hill pasture so called and 3 3/4 acres being a part of ye lot of land & the [housing?] Daniel Merrill to have all the homestead both housing and adjoyning being about 17 acres which land lyeth near Sawyer's land, so called, which is in full of his part in behalf of Esther his wife. Peter Ordway to have 1/22 of a piece of meadow lying in Birchen meadow about 10 acres pasture so called, about 3 3/4 acres & all the wood lot in Newbury which doth belong to ye Estate of ye Des' which is in full for his part in behalf of Jemima his wife. Robert Savory to have 3 ares of salt marsh & flats on northeasterly end of an Island lying in Plumb Island River known by the name of Chase his Island 1/2 of piece of meadow in Birchen Meadow about 5 1/4 acres & one half of pasture lying in Ordway's pasture so, called about 4 acres in full of his in behalf of Rebecca his wife. Jemima and Elizabeth Robinson to have 10 1/4 acres of pasture in fourth pasture by their guardians. Confirmed 16 January 1722/23. Daniel Merrill & his wife Esther have the homestead that is they have 10 acres of the northwesterly end of the homestead only and the remainder of the homestead belong to Joseph Chase.
