| - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - James, bap. 1765, Nov. 17, enlisted as a Revolutionary soldier, 1781, Feb. 12, at Framingham, "for the war." He was described as being 16 years old; stature, 4 ft. 10 inches; complexion, light; hair, brown; eyes, dark; farmer. He d. 1800, Jan. 14, at Charlestown, of consumption. It has been supposed that he was unmarried, but proof to that effect is lacking. An intention of marriage at Boston, 1789, Sep. 20, is that of one James Manning and Elizabeth Renan.
