The birthplaces of his children furnish the only available clew[sic] to his residence at various times, and biographical data are lacking. He m. in 1800, Lydia Noyes, b. 1779, Nov. 26; d. 1818, Aug. 8, at Hartland, Vt.; and he m. (2d) 1823, Mrs. Rebecca (Sargent) Hatch, who bore him no children. She d. 1858, May 17. Children: James, Enoch, Stephen, Aaron, Jesse, a son, James, Eunice, Lydia, William. [ref 13:309]
