He settled at Charlestown, where he was a potter by trade. This is all that is known of his short life. He died before the birth of his child, which is recorded as "the son of Daniel, deceased, and Elizabeth Manning," but the date of his death does not appear. It seems that no gravestone exists. He evidently owned no real estate, and left no property to be divided by law. His tax was abated 8.2 at a town meeting in 1741. He m. in 1738, published Nov. 16, Elizabeth Rumford Abbot (according to Wyman's Charlestown. Modern copy of Charlestown records says "Elizabeth Abbot, of Rumford.") She, a widow, received Thanksgiving money, 1757, Nov. 19, to the amount of �2.5, after which no more has been found of her. Ch., b. at Charlestown: Daniel.
