| - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Isaac, m. in Greenland 9 Jan 1718-9 Mary Bennick or Bennet. In 1725 he sold in Hampt. to his bro. Jacob and settled in Rye. From 1741 on he was active in settling Epsom, 1749 moderator, 1761 chairm. of com. for buildings g the meeting ho., altho keeping his res. in Rye. Where or when he or his w. d. is anasc. 9 ch. rec. [ref 22] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ISAAC LIBBY, born about 1690, in Hampton, N. H.; married MARY ___. He was a farmer, and spent the chief part of his life in Rye. He took an active part in the settlement of Epsom, and for a number of years he doubtless divided his time between those two places. That he was a man of good ability is evident from the positions to which he was chosen by his townsmen. He was chairman of the committee which built the first meeting-house in Epsom, 1663 [sic]. He probably died there in Epsom about ten years later. Children 1720-37: John Mary, Elizabeth, Isaac, Arthur, Ruth, Jane Reuben, Joanna.
