[ref 22] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - MATTHEW LIBBY, born probably during his father's stay in Portsmouth, 1690-1700; married 3 Sept. 1730, MARY NASON. He was a farmer. He moved down to Scarborough after the second settlement, but, after a few years, returned to Kittery, and settled on part of his father's homestead. He lived on the 24-acre lot on the northeast side of the road, now owned by Albert W. Libby, 10-7-1-4-6-3. He died in the winter of 1760-1, having outlived his wife. Children 1731-49: Jerusha, Matthew, Zebulon, Azariah, William.
