LIEUTENANT JOHN LIBBY, born 20 Nov. 1751, in Berwick; married 20* Dec. 1773, Sarah Woodsum. About the time of his marriage, he settled and cleared a farm in what is now the northwest corner of North Berwick. There he spent his life, engaging in milling, as well as farming, and became one of the principal men of that locality. His wife died 1 Oct. 1828. He died 1 Mar. 1837. His children were: Daniel, Sally, Ebenezer, Alice, David, Dorcas, John, Pelatia, Ivory. [ref 25:108]
