| - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - CAPT. CHARLES LIBBY, born in Berwick, 16 Dec. 1749; married, 16 July 1772, SARAH PRAY. He received by will one-half of his father's homestead, and lived in the old house; but (it is said) in a law suit about some injustice done him when he was an officer in the militia, spent all his property, and had to relinquish the homestead. He moved up to Lebanon in 1791, and very soon pined away and died. He was buried on the farm now occupied by B. L. E. Gowen. He was a Revolutionary soldier. His widow married second, 2 Feb. 1796, John Legro of Lebanon. Children bef 1772-90: Abigail, Experience, John, Jeremiah, Joshua, Nathaniel.
