- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - John, taxed Boston 1689. In Suff. Ct. 1691, Grace Mallott sued him and David Edwards, owner of shallop 'Grace and Sarah.' Boston 1695, then unobserv. till 1720-25 when shipwright, Kit., he deeded int. in fa.'s est., no w. ment. and bot from sis. Lucy et al. Kit. witn. Mr. 1727-8. Poss. fa. of some of those m. in Boston 1712 and later. In Apr. 1722 one John and w. Deborah had been liv. four yrs. on Mrs. Sarah Geare's land in Crooked Lane. One Abigail m. Saml. Geare. One John, Berw., husbandman, had gr.s. Thos Sanders liv. with him, 1744. [ref 22] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - JOHN Hodsdon2, b. in Boston, Mass., or Kittery, Me., in 1654; m. Rebecca. He was a seafaring man and plied his vocation along the coast and on the several rivers in the vicinity of Kittery. Nov. 22, 1734, a quitclaim deed was given him by the heirs of Nicholas Hodsdon, in which reference is made to a deed given him some years previous by his brothers and sisters, and which deed has been lost; in this last deed, the descendants of Nicholas Hodsdon sell all their right, title and interest to a grant of 100 acres, which was given Nicholas by the town of Kittery, June 24, 1673.
