Inventory taken 24 Sept. 1771 by Samuel Livermore, esq., Joseph Welington, Richard Clark. 11 Sept. 1771, for assessment of dower, to Samuel Livermore, Esq. of Waltham, Joseph Wellington of Cambridge & Richard Clark of Watertown, as commissioners. Report, 28 Sept. 1771 of commissioners; homestead containing twenty one & one quarter acres, bounded by land of Rev. Mr. Daniel Rogers, Capt. Ephraim Frost, Abraham Hill and heirs of Zachariah Hill dec'd, �141.13s4d; dwelling house on homestead land, �33.6s8d; the barn �20; pasture bounded with lands of Joseph Willington, Josiah Shattuck, Samuel Bowman, John Hastings and sd Hill heirs, �94; four and a half acre rock swamp bounded with lands of Joseph Wellington, William Bowman, Rev. Nathaniel Appleton and Ebenezer Prentice, �16.4s; one and three quarter acre salt marsh in Medford bounded by land of Stephen Hall, William Hall and Medford River, �20. Dower set off to widow; dau Lydia Frost has already been advanced her portion, "194.8s, in her father's lifetime; dau Mercy Hill's portion, �186.3d; remaining two thirds to be settled upon eldest son James Perry, he paying to his brothers & sisters. Settlement 8 Oct. 1771, two thirds of real estate settled upon James Perry, he paying to his brothers & sisters their shares, viz: John Perry, Jonathan Perry, Joseph Perry, Benjamin Perry, Ruth & Elizabeth, �21.1s9d each. Husbandman deceased Intestate . . . committed . . . to Lydia Perry Widow & James Perry Husbandman both of sd Cambridge." (Midd. co probate #17,187 52:340). On 2 July, 1771, "Lydia Perry Widow & James Perry Husbandman both of Cambridge" as administrators, with "Richard Clark of Watertown Yeoman & James Tufts of Medford Yeoman" as sureties, gave a bond for �400. Witnesses "Ebenr Stedman" and "Wm Kneeland." Warrant for inventory, 2 July 1771: Samuel Livermore, Esq., Mr. Joseph Wellington & Mr. Richard Clark appraisers. Inventory 24 September, 1771: Real estate "vizt The lands and Buildings belonging to the Said Deceast" �325, 4s. Ack. 8 October, 1771 by "mrs Lydia Perry & James Perry" administrators (52:449). Warrant for dower and distribution, 11 September, 1771, Samuel Livermore, Esq. of Waltham, mr Joseph Wellington of Cambridge, mr Richard Clark of Watertown, appraisers (53:324).
