He took the oath of allegiance 28 Nov., 1677, in Haverhill, where he lived until 1696 when he removed to Stonington, Conn., where he and his wife and some of his children were living in 1724. He m., in Haverhill, 31 Aug., 1683, Anne Swan (Robert), b. 3 Mar., 1658. Robert Swan was an inhabitant of Haverhill in 1646; was Deputy to the General Court in 1684 and in the same year on a committee to procure a minister.
