Timothy was accused 1686 by Elizabeth Emerson of fathering her daughter Dorothy. Elizabeth was later hanged for the 1691 death of her illegitimate twins. Elizabeth, who lived with her parents, had managed to hide the pregnancy and births from them. The babies were found sew up in a bag and buried in a shallow grave in the backyard. Father of the twins was probably Samuel Ladd, at the time married to Martha Corliss. At the murder trial, Elizabeth insinuated Samuel was also the father of her first child Dorothy. Samuel Ladd, a very influential citizen, was never tried or questioned. Throughout the trial, Elizabeth swore she was innocent of murder; she was hanged 8 Jun 1693 because she had concealed the birth (and subsequent death) of the babies.

Timothy died after "a long affliction" allegedly due to witchcraft by Mary (Perkins) Bradbury
