When ab. 17 Feb. 28, 1719-20, 'Ebenezer, son of Elizabeth Gray,' owned cov. and was bp. He m. Mary Lord (Wm.) and built on her fa.'s land. As energ. as ambit., 'house-carpenter,' 'wheelwright,' 'millwright,' he soon made the contract, ab. 1735, with Rev. Christopher Toppan for vast virgin lands, beginning at Montsweag, near Murphy's Corner, Woolwich, which cost him and many of his blood their lives.
