LITTLEFIELD, Moses, son of Thomas and Ruth; m. Dec. 1687 Martha Lord, his mar. portion from his fa. 100 a. lately purch. from Ezek. Knight jr. and one-third the homestead where he had already built. Gr.j. 1694-5, 1700, 1710; jury 1704-5, 1713; Constable 1696. Last ment. 18 Mar. 1713-4. W. Martha and 3 ch. among captives of 10 Aug. 1703. She ret. in time to take adm. on his est. 24 Jan. 1714-5; m. 2d John Abbott, 3d Alexander Taylor. Still admx. in May 1726, but soon d., and s. Aaron filed adm. bond on fa.'s est. 2 Sept. 1727. 'N.E. Captives' names the captive ch: Aaron (Peter), b. 20 Oct. 1694, bp. as Pierre Augustin 27 Jan. 1704, then liv. with the par. priest of Boucherville. Naturalized 1710 and m. at Boucherville 3 Feb. 1717 Marie Brunel. 7 or 8 ch. He was here bef. and aft. his mo. d., and as Aaron L. of Montreal, only s. and h., in 1738 success. sued three Lords for her portion. Appar. in Canada aft. July 1751. Tabitha, supp. to have been k., but trad. brings her back fleetingly as an Ind. squaw. Ruth, b. 23 June 1698, still captive 1710-11. Her birthdate suggests she was Sister Angelique of the Hotel Dieu, Montreal, d. 9 Jan. 1732, ag. 33. Moses, bp. with fa. 13 June 1708, app. not a captive, d. s.p. bef. mo. [ref 22]

Moses Littlefield of Wells, Me., is said to have married Martha2 (Nathan1) Lord, 1685. In their deed to Samuel Emery, dated June 9, 1703, Martha Littlefield signed with her husband, Moses Littlefield. All the contracting parties were of Wells. [ref 31:104]
