Thomas Wallingford. Samuel, son of Benjamin, owned the covenant, First Church, Berwick January 23, 1737. [ref 31:17, 96] *possibly her birthdate - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Samuel Lord bapt. 23 Jan. 1736-7, as adult; married Lydia, dau. of Col. Thomas Wallingford, who was born 25 April 1742*. He was drowned 17 May 1773, aged 38**, and his widow administered his estate and married John Costelloe 20 Dec. 1774. Children 1761-72: Samuel, Nancy, Charlotte, Lydia, Isaac, Isaac. Viz. Mr. Saml. Lord 3rd of Berwick, Mrs. Lucy Lord & Jonathan Hardison, Mr. Jacob Quinbey, Mr. Josiah Tebbetts, Mr. Charles & Mrs. Molly Stackpole. Ye boat oversat Near Sturgeon Creek & 3 of them were drowned. Viz. Mr. Saml. Lord, Mrs. Lucy Lord & Jonathan hardison, ye rest narrowly Escap'd ye same fate. Sd Lucy and Jonathan were taken up ye next day. Saml not taken up till Sunday may 30. Taken up ye Back River by Timothy Clements. Saml Lord Born Saturday Feb. 8.
