Richard, �73 in 1733-4; m. wid. Elizabeth (Wentworth) Sharp; d. s.p. Gr.j. 1694, j. 1701, constable 1702, moderator 1713 and 1716, sergt. 1715. Original memb. Berwick Ch. 1702. Deeded to Randall neph. 1712-3. Traditionally he was twice an Ind. captive, she thrice, but only rec. is her capture 18 Mar. 1690. Bp. in the Catholic faith and servant to M. Pierre Boucher, she returned in 1695; liv. 1734 when they sold to Samuel Lord. [ref 22]

had Martha, Abigail, Sarah, Judith, and perhaps more; liv. 22 Sept. 1734. His w. and hims. were prison. in Canada more than once; but both were liv. Jan. 1733, when he sw. he was 73 yrs. old. [ref 20]

Richard, son of Richard, married Eliza, only daughter of Elder William Wentworth; had Martha, Abigail, Sarah, Judith and perhaps more; living September 22, 1734, his wife and himself were prisoners in Canada more than once, but both were living January, 1733, when he swore he was seventy-three years old. RICHARD b. about 1660; m. Elizabeth, widow of James Sharp and dau. of Elder William Wentworth. s. p. She was captured by Indians 18 March 1690. [ref 33:779]

Tozier Garrison, 1675. Richard Tozier returning from captivity, inherited the house and lands of his father, Richard Tozier-Sr., where he lived many years with his wife, Elizabeth, said to be the only daughter of Elder William Wentworth, who is said to have had ten sons, to each of which he gave a portion of land. 1734, fifty-nine years after the death of his father, Richard Tozier, Jr., sold the place to Capt. Samuel Lord, son of Tozier's sister for Abraham Lord, Samuel's son, and a brother of Capt. Ebenezer Lord. Capt. Samuel Lord claimed to reside at Quamphegan and his son at Salmon Falls. [ref 31:32]
