JOHN bapt. 12 Nov. 1727; m. 6 June 1751 Mary Edgecomb, dau. of Robert and sister of Jemima. Lived in Buxton and Limington, Me. [ref 33:628]

In 1760, he bought lots 8 and 10 of the First Division of Narragansett No. 1 (Buxton) from Samuel Rolfe, and settled there. He was the first town clerk, and a decon of the First Church. In 1780 he moved to Limington. Children: Charity, John, Margaret, John, Joseph, Sarah, Edward, Robert, Moses, Benjamin, Samuel, Nicholas. [ref 46:1-492]

John Nason was in Biddeford as early as March 28, 1760. He married Mary, dau. of Robert Edgecomb. They removed to Buxton about 1760, and he was town clerk until 1780, when he removed with relatives of his wife to Limington. He was one of the first seven members and a deacon of Paul Coffin's church; a man in whom guile was a minus quality. Four children were baptized in Biddeford. Issue: Charity, John, Margaret, John, Joseph, Sarah, Edward, Robert, Moses, Benjamin, Samuel, Nicholas. [ref 66:1076]
