Trad. states that he was shot by Ind. in the entry of his ho. in 1675, but his fa. was called "Sr.' in 1675 and the yr of his w.'s birth (1662) necessitates advancing the date of his death some yrs. Conclusively R.N. 'Jr.' was absent from meet. in 1685. Stackpole must have guessed, and badly, at the birth yrs. of his ch: Sarah, Johathan. [ref 22] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Richard Nason married Shuah ___. He was killed by Indians, who "visited him in his house and shot him in the entry," as tradition says, in 1675. His widow married, 16 Sept. 1687, John Douglass, and removed to Dover. Richard Nason had three children*: Sarah, Richard, Jonathan.
