WILL OF DANIEL TETHERLY, 28 Feb 1757 - 24 Apr 1758: In the Name of God Amen. I Daniel Tetherly of Kittery in the County of York in the Province of the Massachusetts Bay Shipwright, being bound on an Expedition and not knowing how God in his Providence may dispose of me. I make this my last Will & Testament, and after humbly bequeathing my Soul to God the Father of Spirits and recommending my Body to a decent burial wherever it may happen according to the Discretion of my Executors herein after named, if my Death Shall happen where they or either of them may have the Care of it. My worldly Estate I give & devise in the following Manner & Form vizt

My Will is, That in the first place all my just Debts & funeral Charges be paid by my Executors as soon after my Decease as the Same may be done with conveniency.

Item. I give to my Sister Elizabeth the Sum of five Shillings lawful Money.

Item. I give to Sarah the Daughter of my Brother Samuel Five Shillings gs.

Item. All the Rest Remainder & Residue of my Estate real & personal I give & devise to my two Brothers John and William in Manner following vizt one third thereof to the Said William & two thirds thereof to the Said John to hold to them respectively and their Several & respective Heirs Executors Adminrs & Assigns.

And I appoint them to be joint Executors of this my last Will & Testament, revoking all other Wills by me in any Manner heretofore made. In Witness whereof I have hereunto Set my Hand & Seal the 28th Day of February Anno Domini 1757.
