A Richard King, aged 23, sailed from London to the island of St. Christopher in 1635. Some think him to have been the ancestor of the King family of Kittery. A Richard King was in Kittery in 1649, when he received a conveyance of Champernowne's Island, and is mentioned in 1651. April 18, 1653, Brian Pendleton was made administrator of estate of Richard King of Pascataqua, late deceased.--Norfolk Co. Records. [ref 33:569]
