Oct. 1667 [ref 30:196] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - John, born October, 1667 [ref 93:3-6] On February 5, 1713/4, John, Jr. released to his brothers Ebenezer and Jeremiah his right to certain property "that was formerly my grandffathers Phenius Pratt," situated within "ye Colony of Boston": To all Christian people to whom these presents shall come greeting, Know yee that I john Pratt of Oysterbay in Queens County on ye Island of Nassan In ye Province of New York, Carpenter, ffor and in consideration of ye Love Good Will & brotherly affections wch I have and doe Bear towards my two Loving Brothers Ebenezer Pratt and Jeremiah Pratt both of Oysterbay aforesaid Yeomen, and for many other Good Causes and Considerations, (. . .) ye said John Pratt especially moveing, Have Given Granted Alienated Enfectted, Assigned Released made over and Confirmed and by these presents I, ye said John Pratt Do freely fully clearly and absolutely Give Grant Alienate Enfeoffe(?) Assigne Release make over and Confirm Unto my said Brothers Ebenezer Pratt and Jeremiah Pratt their Heirs and Assigns forever all that of ye equal two thirds parts of all ye Land, meadow & meadow Ground, Swampe & Swampe Ground which I have or wch Doe any ways or means Whatsoever belong Unto me ye said John Pratt, situate lying and being within ye Colony of Boston of both Divided & Undefided or lotted or Unlotted Lands Meadow and meadow Ground, Swampe & Swampe Ground, being by Estimation more or Less, with every part & parcel that Doe any ways belong Unto me ye said John Pratt by Heirship within ye sd Colony of Boston that was formerly my Grandffathers Phenius Pratt Deceased, being more or Less, To have and to Hold all & Singular ye sd Granted Land Meadow & Swampe & premises with their and every of their appurtenances, Priviledges and Commodities to ye same belonging or In any Ways appertaining Unto them my said Brothers Ebenezer Pratt & Jeremiah Pratt their Heirs and assigns for ever more to them & their only proper use, benefit and behoofe forever, Absolutely with outt any Lott Hindrance Molestation or Interruption of me ye said John Pratt my Heirs Esecrs admrs or assigns or any other person or persons Whatsoever Lawfully Claiming ye Same or that Shall or may Claim ye sd Granted premises or any part thereof from by or under me, In witness whereof I ye sd John Pratt have hereunto Sett my Hand and fixed to my Seal this fifth Day of February In ye twelfth yeare of ye Reign of our Sovernigne Lady Anne, By ye Grace of God Queen of Great Britain &c Anno Domini one thousand seven hundred Thirteen fourteen John Pratt Sealed & Delivered in ye presence of Caleb Coles Geo: Townsend (Oysterbay Town records D:169) [ref 93:3-2] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - picture: signature - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - | ||||||||||
