Thomas, Kittery, �33 in 1680, joiner, bot with �30 borrowed from James Chadburne on a note on the previous day, land in Eliot 2 Feb. 1680-1. He m. ab. 1679 Mary Thompson, who was bp., a wid., 1 June 1712. In 1680 he depos. ab. Kit. happenings of 1676. With Wm. Furbush he bot goods from Joseph Rayne in 1681, made joint note with Furbush in 1683, was sued by Rayne in 1684 and escaped from the sheriff's custody. In 1704 he had suffered losses from Ind. attack. He mtg. 55 a. at Thompson's Pt. to Joseph Smith in 1707, it being redeemed by his s.-in-law Shorey in 1712. He d. after 1710, when a writ was issued ag. T.R. sr., and bef. 1712. Adm. 1 Mar. 1719-20 to Shorey. The wid. d. 1 Apr. 1738. Six ch. surv. him out of : Anne, Mary, Jacob, Charity, Miles, Eleanor, John. One John was taxed in Portsm. in 1719. Possible child Thomas, the fa. being sr. in 1710. [ref 22]

Thomas Rhodes, joiner, bought land in the northern part of what is now Eliot in 1680. He married Mary, dau. of Miles Thompson and died before 1719. She died 1 April 1738. Children: Anne, Mary, Jacob, Charity, Miles, Eleanor, John. [ref 33:700]
