On 24 January, 1712, Thomas Hathaway receipted for �2 "due to me from my father Arter hathaway deseased and five shillings willd to me" [ref 93:16-111]

On 5 April, 1742, "Thomas Hathaway of Dartmouth . . . Yeoman" made his will. "To My three Sons (viz) Antipass Hathaway Thomas Hathaway and Jethro Hathaway . . . all my Right in the Islands in Dartmouth afore Said Together with A Certain pece of Land lying Between the friends Meeting House in Acoshanut Viledge and the parting ways So Called To be Eaqualy Devided Among them : Besides what I have Already Given to Each of them By deed of Gift" "To my Said Son Antipass Hathaway . . . All that my Salt Marsh Meadow and upland Adjoyning at or on the Easterly Side Sconticut Neck and Nere the Lower End of Said Neck Adjoyning To The Tinkams Meadow and land Together with All that My Lott of upland Meadowish Ground Lying on The west Side of Said Neck Below Winchagansett So Called Together with all that my Tract of Ceder Swamp Lying at A place Called Hoppomock Accepting Two poyntes of Said Swamp which I Shall in this my will other ways Despose of" "To My Said Son Thomas Hathaway . . . My Said Son Thomas Hathaway Sole Executor" The witnesses were Jacob Taber, Bartholomew West, and Bartholomew Taber. The will was probated on 3 May, 1748, at Freetown, on the testimony of Bartholomew West and Bartholomew Taber. (11:458) [ref 93:16-112]

On 30 March, 1748, Stephen West, Jr., Thomas Pope and Jonathan Hathaway were sworn as appraisers. The inventory of the estate of "Thomas Hathaway Yeoman Late of Dartmouth Deceased" was made on 1 April, 1748 by Stephen West, Jr., Thomas Pope, Jr., and Jonathan Hathaway. The only real estate mentioned is "Six Acres of Land in ye woods" �24. The inventory was sworn to on 3 May, 1748, at Freetown, by Thomas Hathaway, the executor. [ref 93:16-114]
